DEST is a proprietary suite of estimating tools developed in close collaboration with experienced cost estimators and engineers. Built to align with AACE Class 3, 4, and 5 requirements, DEST delivers rapid, consistent, and fully transparent CAPEX and ABEX estimates using a robust Material Take Off (MTO)–driven approach.
DEST is designed to estimate the project that will actually be built, not simply the concept shown on a drawing. To reflect real world execution, DEST:
- Uses engineer developed equipment lists and MTOs, based on drawings, surveys and 3D models.
- Applies phase-appropriate allowances with a clear and justifiable basis.
- Accounts for productivity impacts such as complexity, access, congestion, workforce capability, local content, working practices and environmental conditions.
- Includes key execution considerations such as logistics, heavy lift, scaffolding, demolition, transportation and marine operations.
To ensure comparability across concepts, DEST uses the same centralised global cost database as ADEPT, allowing brownfield, greenfield, subsea, and decommissioning estimates to be integrated and compared on an equitable basis.
